    Eat chips and sleep

Blown away by today. Let it never be said that God doesn’t hear our inner frustrations or answer prayer – especially the raw, honest ones. The kind you think to yourself but don’t dare tell anyone else for fear of being judged or forever labelled by that one thought. Am I the only one that happens to?  The quote above was from a beautiful woman and her mum who kindly stopped by my stall today to give me some fresh perspective on the people that enter my life. The ones that stayed, and the ones that left.  I do believe everything rises and falls on our perspective, our inner well-being…

    Real talk.

I just have to take a moment and get real for a second. This is another letter from my heart to my younger self. Dear my younger self, There comes a point in life when realise you are worth so much more than what you settled for. It’s time to get up and take action for we have one life. Trust me darling, it’s better for you to spend this one spreading love and joy, than fighting or falling over the trap of comparison. Choose to give love, than just to take love. For it’s the only real way to receive love back. Take a preference of trying over failing…

    Moving day

Yes it is finally here! I am moving, and I think I am becoming a pro in this area. This will be the third move in three months, and hopefully the last time for 2014. Having moved several times in the past few years, I thought I’d share three tips on how best to move. 1. Go through and pack properly – Yes, I used to through everything in a black bag before, as I wasn’t the most patient of person. I’m guessing you all know how to pack properly, and would never do this, but I have learnt that it’s worth taking time to create some boxes, and…

    Sow to grow

I am feeling rather inspired this evening after a packed day of interviews, work, editing and listening. As I prepare for move number seven in a few weeks time, and think about some of the plans I have coming up in the next few months, I am more excited than ever about the fruit of this seasons labour. #sowbabysow Dear Princess, Remember the principle of seed, time and harvest, and how we must sow wisely with our thoughts, words, and actions. Be thinking about what kind of fruit you want to see come from your life, and the kind of person you want to be. Be sure to check it matches up with the…

I got thick skin, and elastic heart

I had to make a very important phone call this morning, and after being on hold for an hour and a half, I decided to turn my frustration into creativity and found myself reading Dr Caroline Leaf’s book on toxic thoughts. It’s such a good book. I have learnt so much about the way my brain works, and how important it is to be mindful and selective about the thoughts I use. Did you know our thoughts can impact our psychical health? I’ve been aware of the power of thought from a very young age, and how it’s important for me to guard what comes into my mind. I had…

    Growing pains

Have you ever experienced pain so deep that you had little space to think, or function beyond the prominent feeling of agony? I was recently drawn into a moment of complete wilderness when I lost my job, a relationship ended, and lost my home within a matter of 6 weeks. I really didn’t know what to think, feel or believe, and the woman I knew, the happy, positive and self driven young woman had suddenly found herself in a place of uncomfortable, uncertain, and abandoned. Trying to make sense of it all took a greater amount of time than I expected, and only months after the pinnacle point of pain can I…

    Being brave

I have come to think about this concept of being brave as an act of willingness to look like the fool when the result, or outcome is uncertain.  With a situation in mind, I wanted to take the time to explore with you in my blog, and offer up a suggestion that we must indeed take the time to reach deep into our core, and throw off the debris of life that has gathered upon us over the years, and dare to be fearless once again. There have been many times in growing up where I would attempt to step out and do something radical. To dare to ask the…
