New Chapter Awaits

First, let me say… Happy New Year! It seems to be an unwritten tradition that I will update this blog at least once a year! I thought it was important to document a new chapter in my world. Not only is it a new year. We’re now firmly in 2022, but it’s also a new chapter for me both personally and professionally.

This year, I get married to the love of my life (if you missed that video you can catch up on the proposal on YouTube, and in just a few days I start a brand new job. Last month, I completed my time at Oxford University Press. Working in publishing was a goal of mine. I find that when someone tells me I can’t do something, I tend to go all out and find a way to make it happen.

So it turns out that the lady in publishing told me I wouldn’t get into publishing unless I found an intern opportunity to work for free… I didn’t give up. Approximately a year or two after that interaction, I was offered a position with Oxford University Press. It has been a rollercoaster of a journey, but I’m so grateful for the personal and professional growth I was able to accomplish in spite of life’s crazy obstacles.
