This year has been a rollercoaster. I posted about my happy place a few months back and created a vlog on you tube here.
Earlier this month, Matt and I hopped in the car for another road trip and this time we were able to meet some friends, whilst keeping to government guidelines in the UK.
It was the breathe of fresh air that we needed, and I feel like I captured our mini adventure so well in this clip.
There are a few common factors here that I’m starting to notice in each of these mini adventures we seem to be taking this year. Here’s three things I like to include when venturing on a road trip.
They always involve the sea side [at least as much as possible].
I am a sucker for the sea and Dorset has some amazing little gems from Mudeford to Sandbank and more. The 100 mile coast is well worth a visit. If you are inspired to visit, discover the long list of options on Visit Dorset here.
There’s always a trip to a book store.
We often find ourselves navigating past some kind of bookstore or charity shop. I recently found Jenny Colgan’s new book for £1 in there! I’m so excited to read it because it’s based in the Scottish Highlands and I do miss home right now.
There’s always coffee involved.
I love coffee. I think it’s time I admit that too. Growing up I was always known for my love of tea. Times change I guess… For some coffee is a drink, but for me it’s an event – A very special event.
