You don’t have to have figured out your dream in You don’t have to have figured out your dream in a day. This is a journey not a destination so go easy on yourself and lower those expectations. It’s a new week, and whilst I start mine off wit It’s a new week, and whilst I start mine off with a different view I wanted to share a thought to inspire us as we go again. You are more than enough, you have everything you need for this moment and if you think you don’t, then it’s only a matter of time before you do. Fix your focus on the good this week. Take a step. Commit to the journey, and sow the best you can when you can, then rest. Don’t forget to look for the treasure and even if the sun doesn’t seem to be appearing yet, just know that it will. It always does. Time changes, feelings shift, and the weather will part, and building a strong sense of worth, identity and awareness on the inside will keep you in good stead, and whilst we can’t control everything that happens around us we can control how we respond. Tuesday’s are normally crazy hectic for me these Tuesday’s are normally crazy hectic for me these past few months. Moving my bed into work “literally” has been interesting. I’ve noticed that Monday’s and Tuesdays can be stressful trying to juggle it all, but today was different. I will say, different (not perfect), but less stressful. So funny story... I was writing out this caption a So funny story... I was writing out this caption and pouring out my heart and then I accidentally lost it by clicking delete which meant I had to repeat. It's ironic, lol but it's a great showcase of what I'm about to share... I've been thinking about success and reflecting on how success isn't a destination, it's a journey. What appears as success for someone else, may not be success for you and I. Too often I find that we compare ourselves to those little squares that have been made up to look pretty. We spend hours not being present and trying to be all things to all people, in all spaces. It's exhausting and it's a waste of our time and energy. How do we respond when we see that person growing or achieving their dream? It's hard to celebrate others when you are caught up comparing yourself and coming off worse too. Yet, we should be able to celebrate with others, and we would if we understood that our own success in life is in our hands and not in the hands of anyone else. At the end of the day, we don't get to choose how we start or the cards we're dealt along the way, but we can choose our response to them. After years of failing at this, I've come to learn that success for me looks repetitive. It's doing the things that I love and that my body needs to be the best version of me I can be. Not the best version of person A, B or C - I still have to remind myself of this regularly. I've found that it is far more rewarding to treasure and focus on the little things we enjoy and repeat those more often than fixate on the glitz and glam of the 'destination' that we think has greater appeal. It's worth noting too that success has many strands, and rather than missing the moments for looking so far into the future [don't get me wrong, I believe in having vision]... Perhaps it's a sweet reminder that life isn't always about what we do, but who we are. After all we are human beings, not doings.
